Solar Cars

Solar cars are increasingly becoming the in thing

This is a great photo of a collection of solar cars in the Texas Solar Challenge in 2009 which has been going since 1993

The irony is the competition takes place mostly in Texas at a Speedway circuit in the land of the car.

The good news is the challenge revolves around educating and inspiring a new young generation to think about ways around the gas guzzling culture of America.

That can't be bad at all.

Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral
This is the Roman Catholic Cathedral of Liverpool in England. Building work began in 1962 and was completed in 1967.

This Cathedral is an icon and one of the most outstanding landmarks in Liverpool. I visited it when it first opened as a child. It is often given the nickname of Paddy's Wigwam
